A positive 2006
The president
Stefania Annunziata
outlines the situation
The commitment taken on in mid 2006 with the presentation and publication of this house-organ has been respected both in terms of its scheduling and, above all, regarding the issues it has tackled: the second issue of “Corriere della Repico” provides an account of the current status of the international tanning scene, while reflecting on and concisely analyzing activities undertaken by the chemical manufacturer over the past year and looking to its business plans to be developed over 2007. We spoke of these issues with Stefania Annunziata, president of Repico, whose dynamism and inventiveness have played a key role in maintaining the company’s active market position in the tanning sector.
“Repico’s corporate vision embraces the tanning world in its entirety. In 2006 we were busy in various sectors in an effort to improve the company’s overall structure so as to ensure our future. As reported in our previous edition, our efforts have centered on and continue to be aimed at improving our range of traditional products, from beamhouse processes to dyestuffs, as well as for finishing products we have been successfully proposing both here in Italy and abroad. Along with our commitment towards rationalizing our branch offices in Italy, in order to provide increasingly faster and more professional service to all our customers, across the entire country. Finally, the development of foreign markets, to which we’ve recently turned, and the improvement of our company’s global service quality, even in markets abroad which have by now become consolidated. All of which doesn’t detract from our efforts towards improving other aspects of our organization. One example is the fashion division, which, with the assistance of various collaborators, both internal and external, is attracting the attention of numerous first rate tanning manufacturers, who are requesting our input so as to develop our ideas and proposals together with them. The process begun in 2006 for a major renewal of our business structure is ongoing, and we’ve accustomed ourselves to the idea of looking to a new future where we need to be increasingly competitive, in a world in which innovation, research and service are fundamental factors for the success of any business. Our goal has focused on consolidating Made in Italy products in the chemical sector for the tanning industry, developing ‘special’ products and proposing ourselves as ‘global consultants’ capable of offering technology innovation and complete services. This implies a constant commitment towards improvement in terms of human resources, production installations, research conducted on chemical products and applications, and distribution systems for both our products and services. These are targets we’ve already been able to achieve, thanks to our collaborators across Italy and abroad, who are in the front line and are committed on a daily basis, believing in and participating in this continuous process of renewal and improvement.”
