Speaking with Abul Kalam Azad, general manager of ATL Limited
In Bangladesh
with ambitious goals
Since 1999 co-operation is based on products’ good quality, timely service, qualification and availability of the whole Italian staff
We asked Abul Kalam Azad, general manager of ATL Limited, general agent for Repico in Bangladesh, to tell us his story, how he got to know Repico and when he began to collaborate with it.
Born in Dhaka, Abul Kalam Azad obtained his post-degree diploma in English literature. “When I was a student—he explains us—my desire was to go abroad, to find a job in Europe or something bound to foreign activities, in order to put my studies to good use. My family, and my elder brother in particular, president of the company, wanted me to find a job in Bangladesh, maybe as Government’s official or as a College teacher. But short after the end of my studies, I asked my brother to do business in the leather chemical sector with a foreign enterprise.”
In 1999 Abul Kalam Azad visited Bologna fair and met some people working in Repico: together they decided to introduce in Bangladesh all chemicals manufactured by the Italian company and, in a meeting with Repico top managers held in Dhaka, the company ATL Limited was appointed the sole official agent for the Country. “From that moment onwards I have had an excellent relation with the company and now I am very satisfied with the course undertaken and I consider Repico as a meaningful part of my life. I thank heartily all the staff for its skilfulness, habits, behaviour, education.
Teresa Galofaro answers all my questions in very short times and Luigi Juliani always gives me his qualified assistance, and I thank him for this: I am very pleased with his technical support and help. I can’t remember everybody’s names so I thank in particular dr. Bruno Cortese, Marina Barbieri, Sergio Moretti and Carmine Mutasci. Special thanks to Stefania Annunziata, Repico president and owner, for her precious and constant support.”
Abul Kalam Azad concludes: “Business relations with Repico have been going on for a long time now thanks to the skilfulness of the whole staff, to service, competitive price and quality. If this relation continues to be so successful, I think I will be able to turn Bangladesh into a huge market for Repico, a very good company deserving very high esteem!”
