A consolidated collaboration
Repico collaboration with the Korean company dates back to 2004: in fact Stefania Annunziata’s informal meeting with the company’s executives took place at Tanning Tech exhibition in Bologna in that year. The first meeting was followed by Repico’s president visit in Korea: on that occasion Stefania Annunziata, who smelled the potentialities of the tanning market in this still receptive and brewing tanning Country, officialized co-operation with Sambang, which started concretely in the beginning of 2005.
Heon Chung & Jaeyoung ChungSambang has been operating for several years in Korea and its president, Heon Chung, owns a historical marketing experience in the tanning and textile sector; in his activity he is assisted and actively supported by Jaeyoung Chung, qualified and active marketing manager.
In Korea the tanning sector has gone through very hard times, due to both structural reasons and to the continuous movement of tanneries to neighbouring China, where labour cost is more competitive. For this reason, the Korean companies currently working in leather processing bet on high qualitative and service standards: Sambang-Repico binomial is perfectly in line with customers’ requirements, who demand highly professional suppliers able to combine high technical contents with the most innovative ones bound to creativity.
