Repico’s technicians and researchers are constantly committed to study new products, extending their full-circle knowledge in the sector. In fact problems upstream of leather processing—for example origin and type of raw material—and downstream of the tanning industry, e.g. hide and skin transformation into finished products (footwear, garment, leather goods, furniture) are constantly under evaluation and analysis.
Resitan DM, retanning agent based on acrylic polymer, is the new product resulting from this systematic commitment.
The features below are enough to tickle the curiosity of tannery operators and carry out practical tests.

RESITAN DM
It’s an anionic, filling retanning resin characterised by good light-fastness, which can be used in the retanning of wet blue leathers presenting very loose dermal structure.
Peculiar characteristic of this retanning agent based on acrylic polymer is the special softness it bestows to leathers, unequalled by other acrylic polymers used for this sake.
Moreover leathers retanned with Resitan DM are easy to drum and have small and even grain pattern.
Used at the end of fatliquoring at temperatures above 50°C, Resitan DM favours grain formation in wrinkled leathers.
