Rising results in terms of turnover and technical contents, through constant co-operation with the Italian staff

In Europe, among the various tanning areas where Repico has decided to be constantly present, there is Portugal, where the company collaborates with Quimbios Productos Quimicos L.D.A., headquartered in Vila Moreira.

The owner of the Portuguese company, Paulo Pombo, begins: “I have been agent for Repico for seven years now; I deal with products for the wet phase and our relation has been characterised by a constant growth in terms of turnover and technical collaboration. In fact, together with the Italian technicians we have searched for and developed products that are in line with the exigencies of the Portuguese tanning market. The results were very satisfying – Pombo continues -. Our customers are very satisfied and rely on the technical assistance we offer in our laboratory.”

Paulo Pombo set up his company after working as employee in a competing chemicals factory. He runs the company with his wife Teresa: “Our company is young and easy, and my wife and me are engaged here every day, as administration manager and technical manager respectively. Our staff includes one laboratory technician, one finishing technician, one storeman equipped with truck for deliveries, one office-worker.”

The structure is composed of a warehouse covering approximately 5000 square metres, of a wet laboratory equipped with 4 testing drums and of a finishing laboratory equipped with one spray machine for tests, one Roller Coater by Gemata and one ironing machine.

“Over the past year we have begun to propose our customers even a fashion trend of clear Italian inspiration, in great demand in our Country. Our goal is being always up-to-date on fashion evolutions and innovative technical aspects, in order to maintain our position at the top of the Portuguese market. Obviously, the collaboration with Repico - Quimbios Productos Quimicos owner concludes – plays a strategic role in achieving these results.”
